Harney County Outreach Center

The Harney County Outreach Center is located in Burns, next to the high school on Highway 20.  It provides the opportunity for students to attend college classes through Distance Education to earn a degree or to update their current skills.  The Outreach Center also offers classes in Adult Basic Education and GED preparation.

Scholarships and financial aid are available for qualifying students.  Students have the option of taking classes at Treasure Valley Community College, Eastern Oregon University.

The Harney County Outreach Center has the support of the local community. The BLM Burns District donates a horse from the herd it manages to be raffled off each year at the Harney County Fair.  The money is used for scholarships.  There are other various fundraisers held throughout the year.
